A 10 minute’s film initiated as a public awareness campaign for the World Environment Day program. The film highlights the food waste generated in around the world with specific highlights to our Country. In India alone around 21 Million Tonnes of wheat are wasted each year due to inadequate storage and distribution system. In addition to grain storage, insufficient cold storage and cold chain transportation which are able to extend the shelf life of the produce form as little as a few days to weeks or more also contribute to the food lose in India. Poor road and transportation facilitates often delay transportation of produce from one end of the country to another which results in entire truck load to be decayed and not fit for consumption. The film also underlines few of the solutions that can help stop food waste. The Documentary was funded by Goa State Pollution Control Board, Govt. of Goa, India in association with Centre for Environment Education, India.
